Family photography is a large part of what we do as photographers in the Broad Run Farms, VA and Leesburg, VA area. Many of our clients are return customers which of course we love because we enjoy watching their family grow, get older, and change through the years! However, we always enjoy meeting and working with new families and this certainly included The Batterjee Family, a beautiful family of three!
 

New Family Portrait Session

 
As with all of our families, we like to ask our clients a series of questions so that we can get to know them a bit before we take their portraits. We also like to understand their motivation behind taking portraits and learn about any vision they might have for the portraits. Like most young families, Huda and Aziz had wedding portraits done years earlier and newborn photos when their adorable baby girl was born. Given that Nadia was 10-months, and growing quickly, they wanted to update their family photographs.

A hobby photographer, Huda told us that they like to travel, and she usually prints at least one landscape portrait of their trip to display in their home. She really appreciates photography and was looking forward to working with a professional photographer to capture her lovely family of three.
 

 

Wall Art

 
Huda shared with us how much they’re enjoying parenthood and how they want to capture their time living in Virginia as their daughter turned a year old. Huda’s idea was to display this family portrait along with other pictures on a photo gallery wall in their home. She was hoping to regularly add to that wall in the home she hoped they’d stay living in for many years.

We greatly enjoyed working with the Huda, Aziz and Nadia. Such wonderful people are truly a joy to meet and photograph!

The sweet Peterson Family of three reached out to us for professional family photography. This lovely family lives just minutes from our Sterling, VA studio, and we were so pleased they chose us as their family photographer. As the parents of a precious 18-month-old, they were interested in updating their family portraits. As we specialize in family and children photography, we were more than happy to work with them!

Having done newborn photos as a last-minute idea, Lori and Rob were ready to capture their little doll in new photos. Their earlier portraits had been taken at a local mall, and the results weren’t quite what they were hoping for. Now with a walking toddler, it was time to update their family pictures. They sought us out and liked the idea that we specialize in family photography.

What happens when you bring together five women on our 2.5-acre outdoor studio in Sterling, VA (near Ashburn, VA and Lansdowne, VA) for professional pictures? Lots of fun, awesome pictures, and a memorable time; that’s what happens! These three lovely ladies (and their little dog) were a joy to photograph and work with!

Michelle approached us while looking for a studio photographer after a four-year hiatus from professional pictures. Her daughters, Isabella and Olivia, are now teens, and she wanted updated shots of the three of them together – as the lovely family they are!

Autumn Outdoor Portrait Session

Michelle knew what she wanted when she contacted us: casual, relaxed, candid images. She had seen a few of our fall portraits online and liked the idea of fall’s colorful scenery for a backdrop. Turns out that she and her two daughters (and, yes, the doggy) outshone the rich landscape!

The Pettit Family, a family of four from Maryland, consists of two beautiful, small children with cherub faces, and their loving parents. Mom Christina wanted a studio photographer near their home and well known for their fine art photography. Christina hoped a photographer could capture “this moment in time” during her children’s fifth and sixth years of their lives. We recently had the opportunity to work with a truly special family with an extraordinary and exceptional bond. It was an honor and privilege to capture the Tauch Family’s loving relationship. Both Kim and her husband Eric serve in the U.S. military, and their beautiful family was formed through adoption. We know how special and strong the bonds in military families are, and the Tauch Family are no exception. With two parents serving in the military, two active and adorable little girls (and one dog), this family is very active and loves the outdoors. Despite their busy lives, Kim knew the time had come to capture their family’s loving bond and their adorable daughters in family portraits.
